Now, Nick Malceski. No Nick Malceski is not going to play AFL this week, however he is set to play footy this week in the Sydney Reserves side. So he will have no effect on Mr Kennelly this week, however when he does make his return to the AFL side, i still do not beleive Mr Kennelly’s DT Scores will suffer as he is a great player, there is enough room for the two of them and it will no doubt take some time for Malceski to settle back into the team.

Hmm captain selection is allways a doozy, having someone like Mr Chad Cornes out doesnt help your situation. My advice: the Geelong Midfield, they are playing Richmond and there could be some 120+’s. Jimmy Bartel, Joel Corey and gary Ablett even, now that he’s likely to play. If these young chaps don’t float your boat you could go for Big Cox over in W.A . Dean has had a brilliant year as allways, thus why i call him, Mr Consistency. Brotherly love is also an option, you could just jump on Kane Cornes.
But my safe bet would be to go with the Cats centre line.

Dear Nanna Dorothy, is Stuart Dew still worth signing? He was named as an emergency last round (round 7) so I was going to wait – but then he played so had a bit of a price rise. I know he got over 100 in his first game, then 57 in each game since. Still worth the pick up?

Ok, ok, Stewart Dew, Although he started the season with that big 100, recent scores suggest it was just a fluke! However he only has a break even of 24 meaning if he gets a score higher than 24 he will go up in value. Avergaing high 50’s though he will not go up in value for long though and for that reason i suggest signing a different player, unless you beleive he can re find that 100 point form.

Chad Cornes – Ok well it doesnt look like he will return untill aproximately round 10 (2-3 weeks) So the real question is, do you have someone in your reserves who can cover for him?? If so, keep him, if not, a trade is needed, 2 – 3 zeros is a big no no.

Ok first things first, Joshua Fraser, tall lad that one! He has said that the injury he sustained in the tribute match was NOT as bad as first thought and he is a CHANCE to play this week, if your goping to play him just make sure you have an emergency who is going to play!
Lance Franklin or Lindsay Gilbee for Captain? Season Form says Buddy Franklin. Despite the fact Gilbee plays Fremantle, Buddy averages 101 points per round for 2008. Can’t not like that!
Finally Blacky, He is MOST LIKELY going to play, late withdrwel from the Geelong game then rested for the tribute match, Stay tuned to the Couch over the next 24 hours to confirm his selection though.

Now Edward Barlow, he is not injured and it is really just a case of him being a young player not being able to consistently break into the best 22, remember he has other young guns to compete against in Craig Bird and Keiran Jack so Barlow is doing it tough but keep expecting the odd game here and there from him.

Chad Cornes you ask, well he did train this week and will under go a test to play, my tip is to stay tuned to the dt couch untill later in the week (thursday or friday) and at that point you can make your trade or selection move.

Andy McLeod he is having a bit of a form slump isnt he, now unfortunately Pom i know your current trades situation (You only have 6 left). Now with that in mind i don’t think you should trade on the fact he has had 2 off games, a champion like him will return to form sooner or later. You have to save your trades for possible injuries.

Now although which team a player is from and who they are playing is an important facto when picking a captain, it should not be the only one! Look for players who are currently in good form and have a good average over the last 5 rounds, players looking good for this week will be Jonathan Brown, Gary Ablett, Dean Cox, Dane Swan and Kane Cornes.

Last night i was an absolute froob and traded the wrong a player for the wrong person i wanted. I was really tired and the lack of sleep got to me in a click of the mouse that will haunt me forever. I traded ryan gamble for a young hawks fella 83k, instead of getting ryan o’keefe. I nearly munted seeing what i did and know i sit on 5 trades left and completely screwed. Is there anyway in the world to get that trade back? i know there isnt but i would honestly do anything.
