Trades, something we have had to use a fair bit of in AFL Dream Team 2008. This is mainly due to the amount of big names injury that have fallen to the dreaded injury this year and of course suspension. The guys we pick at the start of the year to hopefull average high 90’s opver 22 rounds have just not been present, don’t know what i’m talking about? Adam Goodes, Chad Cornes, Gary Ablett, Barry Hall, Brett Burton, Andrew McLeod, Peter Bell, Cameron Ling, Brad Ottens, Shane Crawford, David Neitz, Russel Robertson, Warren Treadrea, Matthew Richardson and Scott West are just some of the big name players that have missed games in 2008 due to injury/suspension/retirement.
The question is, How man trades have you had to sacrafise so far and how m nay do you have left? Some people have 10, some people have 6, some people have 3 and some people have ‘donuts’. How many trades do you think are required to get through the season? There have been alot of dt coaches taking donuts over the last couple of weeks in a desperate attempt to save those precious trades.
Worst thing still, there were even more injuries on the weekend including the Warren Tredrea disaster meaning more trades must be spent this week to avoid any more friggin donuts! Okay, Okay so there it is the information has been laid out on the table, me personally, i have 5 trades left and have not scored a dnout all year, howevewr that number will fall to 4 maybe even 3 this week because i still have Brett Burton on the bench as well as the Adam Goodes groin saga to deal with and the Paul ‘Hammy’ Chapman issue. There are 5 weeks to go but only 1 week till finals so i will try and save 3 trades for the last three weeks.

I have only copped two donuts all year
First one was round one when the friggin website basically crashed because so many people were on and i couldn’t give trade Justin Sherman and copped one and the other was Tadhg Kennelly with a late withdrawal.
I have three trades which i plan to use on
Upgrading Mayne and Kennelly hopefully Goodesy is out for just one week!
hey pom i thought it was only like 2 weeks ago mayne was a great captain option now ur trading him?? lol im down to 1 trade and dont no when or who to use it on. i could trade out burton for murphy save it for cox use it on jake king. so many options.

i havent had 22 players play for at least a month so i’ve probly had nearly 15 donuts for the year!
yeah i know how you feel jordox about 1 month ago i was thinking i would make top 1000 then i had like 11 players get injured/sore in the 1 round now im going to be lucky to finish top 10,000 at the end of the year
I managed to select proper /playing reserves , but first year in the comp , I did use up two many trades.
I had two left when Ablett went out, and because I was worried about making the 8, I did a double trade.
Would have won without the trade and now none left.
So far no doughnuts , but I have Cornes out in defence and Tredrea out in the forward line.
