As we say every week, the Bin is Back!!! This week it’s no different our same old favourite segment is back and just like ever other edition of the Break Even Bin you cannot afford to miss it. For those who read the segment every week you know what’s going on however for those of you who are new to the Break Even Bin, here’s what goes on; Each week we take a look at who has the best, the worst and the most popular break evens for the up and coming round. A break even of course is the score in which a player must get in order to maintain their value. This week as usual we will feature the big names such as Gary Ablett, Marc Murphy, Shane Valenti, Lance Franklin, Heath Shaw and Dean Cox as well as lots more, so what are you waiting for, get reading!

HURRY THROW IT OUT, IT STINK! – WORST BREAK EVENS

  1. Gary Ablett (Geelong) 213
Most likely going to miss two weeks with an ankle injury only makes matters worse for those who have him by adding on a whopping break even of 213. Not really Ablett’s fault, didn’t play in the midfeild against the Crows then was on fire against Fremantle (65 late in the second quarter) and he rolls his ankle.
  2. Marc Murphy (Carlton) 165
Unlucky for Murphy who many have beleived has had a great year. Unfortunately his score of 47 last week against the Saints has meant that he will be looking to drop about $20,000.
  3. Brad Sewell (Hawthorn) 154
  4. Robert Murphy (Western Bulldogs) 154
Alot of people will be very, very dissapoionted to see one of the Gun forwards of the year on the bad break even list, ufortunately for Murphy two scores of 69 and 57  have killed his break even, not surprised to see him drop over $15,000 this week.
  5. Michael Doughty (Adelaide) 145
  6. Ben Johnson (Collingwood) 143
  7. Bernie Vince (Adelaide) 141
  8. Simon Black (Brisbane) 133
  9. Damon White (Port Adelaide) 132
  10. Travis Johnstone (Brisbane) 131

ONE MANS TRASH IS ANOTHER MANS TREASURE – BEST BREAK EVENS

  1. Ben Ross (Kangaroos) -42
  2. Stefan Martin (Melbourne) -37
  3. John Anthony (Collingwood) -33
  4. Shane Valenti (Melbourne) -32
This guy is a gun, allready sky rocketing in value and yet the good news is, it’s not too late to still jump on him, currently sitting on $160,00 by the end of the season will look to be around the $270,00.
  5. Nick Lower (Port Adelaide) -19
  6. Nicholas Smith (Sydney) -19
  7. Robert Eddy (St Kilda) -16
  8. Tom Lonergan (Geelong) -13
  9. Matthew Scarlett (Geelong) -13
Very interesting to see Scarlo, a premium defender of the AFL on this list, why you ask? The answer, a score of 4 in round 11 followed by 2 weeks off has now got himself a nice break even of -13.
  10. Lachlan Hansen (Kangaroos) -10
