First game of the weekend saw what potentially on paper would have been a terrible match. As it turned out it wasn’t actually too bad at all with the Saints just edging past Freo by 8 points. A magnificent return to form performance by DT gun Nick Riewoldt was just about the difference in the end, with the Roo smashing his opponents to take 18 marks and kick 3.1 for a massive 152 DT points. Robert Harvey, Luke Ball and Matthew Pavlich were solid again, all cracking the ton with 125, 113 and 109 respectively, and there was a welcome return to form also for Brendon Goddard who scored 106 with 26 disposals and 2 goals. Nice to see him back to his best cheap kick taking form rotating through the midfield!! Cash Cow Chris Mayne was solid again with 81 points as was 1st gamer Robert Eddy who scored 74 – maybe a future option??
And also special mention to Lenny Hayes who has all but wrapped up this week’s play of the week award -Hayes went into overdrive in the first quarter getting 16 touches and goal for 75 DT Points in just 23 minutes!!! Unfortunately that was the end of his game as he did a hammy and played no further part in the match!!! Get well soon Lenny!!

Now, down to business, Only had Ibbotson last night and he got 73 so im fairly happy with that.
