This week may see some notable DT guns come back to play some footy, or it may not, many gun players have injuries where it is not quite sure exactly when they will return, especially with the hammy injuries. Major dream team guns who have found themself on the injury list are shown below…
Brad Symes- The ankle injury which made many dream teamers pull their hair out may leave some bald at the news that he is still 2-3 weeks from playing. This only creates more issues in this years backline depression especially for those who have had him on the bench waiting for his return.
Cameron Cloke- A suprise DT packet this one, wasnt expected to average as well as he did in the first few rounds which prompted many to pick him up, sadly hurt his wrist but should be back in one week.
Bret Thortan- Another backman who at the start of the year had many jump on him, all whom would have been disapointed when did his knee. He was a suprisingly high scorer for the type of player he was and should find himself back in the blues squad in 1 or 2 weeks, cant argue with backliners coming back they are in great demand.
Josh Fraser- His knee which was injured in the tribute match has looked to come up and will have a test to see if he can play this week, stayed tuned for more info.
Jobe Watson- One of the best in the bombers midfield, which shows just how poor their midfield actually is, his bruised back will be tested this week.
Scott Lucas- The knee he injured earlier this year is coming along as planned and should be back in 1-2 weeks.
Brad Ottens- Apparently one week away, funny he was also apparently one week away about 7 weeks ago! obviously having issues and when he comes back i dont rate his chances of being full recovered it sounds as though it has become something ongoing his foot injury.
Luke Hodge- His hammy is two weeks away, but gotta watch out with hammy’s one you have pulled one many say you can never heal 100%, hopefully hodge’s hammy is an exception to this as he is a complete gun.
Brent Guerra- The boys down at hawthorn might be working the hamstrings to hard as they currently have 3 fellas with pulled hammys. Guerra did his this weekend just to create more issues for the abysmal backline and is expected to miss 3-4.
Nathan Carroll- Not injured but simply not allowed to play due to his shit haircut, is likely to return in a weeks time after some serious work at the hairdresses, (actually pulled hammy).
Chad Cornes- The big Chad could be back this week!!! great news for many dream teamers which may also cure many individuals depression. But he still must have a test this week so at this stage not too sure about whether he will or wont play, he trained partially today with a bloody big cast on his hand. Stayed tuned for more info.
Mark Coughlan- Another player who has been cut down by his damn hammy, a real shame for coughlan who looked like returning to AFL after almost two years out from footy. It is not known as to when he will return, has been sent to germany for radical work on his hammy from the same fella who did Max Rooke last year.
Andrew Raines- Another possible backline inclusion (hooray) will be tested this week on his knee but i dont know if i would reccomend buying him. The richmond backline has Newman and King as their main ballwinners down their so dont expect him to see too much of it.
Nick Riewoldt- The man who was supposed to be out for 7 weeks at first is now going to be tested for playing AFL this week? the saint has either made an extremely speedy recovery or the Saints have become very desperate and stupid, i would stay away it seems as though he has come back too soon.
Ed Barlow- Another Hammy!! will be tested this week.
Tadhg Kennelly- Hurt his shoulder in the first quater to come back on and play then did his knee!! arghh enough to send some dream teamers who had him mad. Good news is though he may only miss 1-2 weeks so if you are low on trades (e.g. POM) you may be able to chuck him on the bencharoonie and hopefully have an emergency to chuck in.
Big Bad Bustling Barry- Hall is only 3 weeks away with his wrist injury, even if you arent keen on chucking him in your side his comeback game should be entertaining.
Beau Waters- His Groin is going along ok and should return in a week.
Scott West- Set to return in two weeks in what many believe will be this top dog’s last year.
